Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rank Up Dota (the "Service"), available at rankupdota.com. Rank Up Dota is operated by an independent individual ("Rank Up Dota", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Rank Up Dota is

Rank Up Dota is a self-serve Dota 2 draft, matchup, and itemization coaching tool. It provides a draft simulator, a matchup and synergy database, item recommendations, patch-note references, and an optional AI-generated build guide. The draft simulator, matchup database, and itemization coach are free and require no account. Rank Up Dota is not a boosting, account-sharing, or paid-coaching-for-hire service — we never play on your account or duo-queue with you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Steam login and sessions

Signing in is optional and powers the personal stats dashboard only. We authenticate you through Steam's OpenID system; we never ask for or receive your Steam password, and we do not request a Steam Web API key from you. When you log in, we derive your public Steam account identifier and read publicly available Dota 2 match and profile data associated with it (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for activity that occurs through your logged-in session, and you agree to comply with Valve's Steam Subscriber Agreement when using Steam to access the Service.

4. Pro subscription, billing, and cancellation

The optional AI build guide is available on a paid "Pro" subscription. Plans include recurring monthly, 6-month, and yearly options, and a one-time lifetime option. Prices are shown at checkout, in your local currency where supported.

• Payment processor. All payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details, and your purchase is also subject to that provider's terms.
• Recurring plans. Recurring plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, every 6 months, or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the plan does not renew again.
• Refunds. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods and one-time lifetime purchases. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund a completed charge.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply only to billing periods that begin after the new price is published or you are notified. A one-time lifetime purchase is honored for the lifetime of the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) scrape, bulk-download, or systematically harvest the Service's data or pages except as expressly permitted; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or non-public data; (c) interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, including circumventing rate limits; (d) resell or redistribute the Service or its Pro features; or (e) use the Service to violate any law or the terms of Steam, Valve, or any third-party service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's original text, design, code, and compiled recommendations belong to the operator of Rank Up Dota and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Dota 2 hero names, portraits, item data, and related assets remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Not affiliated with Valve

Rank Up Dota is a fan-made, independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Valve Corporation. Dota, Dota 2, Steam, and related marks and assets are trademarks and/or copyrights of Valve Corporation. Rank Up Dota uses this material under fan-content norms and claims no ownership of Valve's intellectual property.

8. Third-party data and services

Matchup, synergy, hero, and player data are derived from public sources including OpenDota and community datasets, and meta/tier data from Stratz. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data, and third-party services may change or become unavailable at any time.

9. No guarantee of results

Rank Up Dota offers informational suggestions and probabilistic reasoning to help you make your own decisions. We do not guarantee any specific outcome — including any win, MMR gain, or rank improvement. Every in-game decision is yours.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Rank Up Dota will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes take effect when posted; continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the courts located in the Philippines, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
